IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO RESOLUTION NO.2023-003 RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AN AMENDMENT TO THE CONSULTING SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH DENALECT ALARM COMPANY FOR THE DESIGN AND INSTALLATION OF FIRE AND SECURITY ALARM SYSTEMS; TO INCREASE THE AMOUNT OF COMPENSATION BY $15,151 FOR A TOTAL NOT TO EXCEED AMOUNT OF $67,000 FOR THE FARRELLY POOL REPLACEMENT, PROJECT NO. 2018.3420; AND TO AUTHORIZE THE EXTENSION OF THE CONTRACT TERM FROM JUNE 30, 2021 TO DECEMBER 31, 2023 WHEREAS, an agreement dated July 6, 2020 exists between the City of San Leandro and Denalect Alarm Company; and WHEREAS, a contract amendment is required to compensate for additional consulting services for design revisions, construction administration, and field observation; and WHEREAS, Denalect Alarm Company has agreed to the terms of the amendment pending Council approval; and WHEREAS, Amendment No. 1 to the agreement, for which a copy of the scope and compensation is attached, was presented to this City Council; and WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof, and WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said agreement. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows: 1. That said Amendment No. 1 substantially in the form presented is hereby approved and execution by the City Manager is hereby authorized; and 2. That the City Manager is authorized to make non -substantial revisions to said amendment to the agreement, subject to approval as to form by the City Attorney; . 4. That an original executed agreement shall be attached to and made a part of this resolution.
