IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO RESOLUTION NO.2022-217 RESOLUTION OF THE SAN LEANDRO CITY COUNCIL TO APPROVE AN AMENDMENT TO THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO AND THE SAN LEANDRO CITY EMPLOYEES' ASSOCIATION (SLCEA) WHEREAS, an agreement was reached between the City of San Leandro and the San Leandro City Employees' Association (SLCEA) to amend the SLCEA Memorandum of Understanding to address emergency staffing issues and the difficulty in attracting and retaining Public Safety Dispatcher employees; and WHEREAS, a draft Side Letter Agreement to the Memorandum of Understanding was presented to this City Council; and WHEREAS, the SLCEA salary schedule has been amended to reflect the agreed upon salary for Public Safety Dispatcher, Senior Public Safety Dispatcher, and Public Safety Dispatcher Supervisor; and WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows: 1. That said Side Letter Agreement to the Memorandum of Understanding, and salary schedules are hereby approved; and 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption; and 3. That Council authorizes programming appropriate funding into the corresponding SLCEA salary and benefit accounts for Fiscal Years 2023 through 2025; and 4. That the City Manager is authorized to execute said Side Letter Agreement to the Memorandum of Understanding and make non -substantive revisions subject to approval as to form by the City Attorney.
