IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO RESOLUTION NO. 2023-014 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO CITY COUNCIL TO APPROVE AND AUHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONSULTING SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH MUNICIPAL RESOURCES GROUP, LLC TO FACILIATATE THE COUNCIL PRIORITY SETTING RETREAT, PERFORM EXECUTIVE LEVEL EVALUATIONS, MID - MANAGEMENT AND CROSS -FUNCTIONAL TEAM FACILIATATIONS AND PROFESSIONAL STAFF DEVELOPMENT TOTALING $150,706.25 IN FISCAL YEAR 2022-2023; $159,400 IN FISCAL YEAR 2023-2024; AND $145,000 IN FISCAL YEAR 2024-2025 FOR A TOTAL NOT TO EXCEED VALUE OF $455,106.25 WHEREAS, in 2021, the City of San Leandro engaged with Municipal Resources Group, LLC to provide executive level evaluations and strategic planning retreat facilitations; and WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro has experienced staff turnover leaving key leadership roles either vacant or recently placed with new leadership in search of professional development; and WHEREAS, the City Council supports the City Manager's initiative to construct and deploy a comprehensive staff development program; and WHEREAS, the current budget has sufficient funding due to staff turnover; and WHEREAS, the City Manager has the authority to transfer funding between departments to best serve the needs of the entire city and can fund these initiatives with Council approval of this agreement; and WHEREAS, the projects for Fiscal Year 2022-2023 require $150,706.25; $159,400 in Fiscal Year 2023- 2024; and $145,000 in Fiscal Year 2024-2025, for a not -to -exceed total agreement of $455,106.25; and WHEREAS, the City Council also supports entering into an agreement with Municipal Resources Group, LLC for citywide professional development and facilitation services; and WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said agreement. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows: 1. That said agreement for a not to exceed amount of $455,106.25 is hereby approved and execution by the City Manager is authorized.
