IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />G7���l�j� [�P► �► L��•I�Y���L �3 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO CITY COUNCIL TO APPROVE RECOMMENDATIONS FROM THE <br />CITY OF SAN LEANDRO HUMAN SERVICES COMMISSION FOR COMMUNITY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (CAP) <br />GRANTS FOR FISCAL YEARS 2023-2024 AND 2024-2025, AND TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER <br />INTO CORRESPONDING CAP GRANT AGREEMENTS NOT TO EXCEED $160,000 PER FISCAL YEAR <br />WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the important work of the City's human services community - <br />based organizations in creating a safety net for the City's most vulnerable populations; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council supports efforts to address the following areas: mental health, hunger, <br />shelter, safety net health care, domestic violence and other related areas of need in San Leandro; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council received and acknowledged the need for certain health and human services <br />as identified in the Human Services Gap Analysis. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City of San Leandro City Council does RESOLVE as follows: <br />That the City Manager is authorized to enter into CAP Grant agreements with the Recipients identified below, <br />as recommended by the City of San Leandro Human Services Commission, for a total amount not to exceed <br />$160,000 per fiscal year using account 010-63-014-8513 in the Fiscal Years 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 <br />proposed budget: <br />AGENCY GENERAL FUND (CAP) <br />East Bay Agency for Children (EBAC) <br />$35,000 <br />Family Violence Law Center (FVLC) <br />$41,000 <br />Pathways Counseling Center at Seneca <br />$35,000 <br />Ruby's Place <br />$31,000 <br />Safe Alternatives from Violent Environments (SAVE) <br />$18,000 <br />TOTAL $160,000 (per fiscal year) <br />Introduced by Councilmember Reynes and passed and adopted this 15t day of May 2023, by the following <br />vote <br />AYES: Councilmembers Aguilar, Azevedo, Ballew, Bowen, Reynes, Simon, and <br />Mayor Gonzalez (7) <br />NOES: None (0) <br />ABSENT: None (0) <br />ATTEST: kLS- 11N <br />Kelly B. tlancy, CIVIC Cit Clerk <br />
