IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2023-046 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO CITY COUNCIL APPROVING THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO'S <br />APPROPRIATION LIMIT FOR FISCAL YEAR 2023-2024 <br />WHEREAS, Article XIII of the California Constitution and Section 7900 et seq. of the California <br />Government Code requires cities to adopt limits on appropriations for each fiscal year; and <br />WHEREAS, the City's Gann Appropriation Limit has been calculated for 2023-2024 and is set forth in <br />that certain document Gann Appropriation Limitation Calculation for 2023-2024, Attachment 2, attached <br />hereto and made a part hereof; and <br />WHEREAS, the staff report and the related documentation has been made available to the public as <br />required by law; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City of San Leandro City Council hereby RESOLVES as follows: <br />1.The adjustment factors elected for calculating the Gann Appropriation Limit are the State <br />Department of Finance Per Capita Personal Income growth rate at 4.44% and the percentage rate of change <br />in population within the County at-0.47%, and2.The Appropriation Limit for 2023-2024 is established <br />at $310,026,805. <br />Introduced by Councilmember Aguilar and passed and adopted this 15th day of May 2023, by the <br />following vote: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Aguilar, Azevedo, Ballew, Bowen, Reynes, Simon, and <br />Mayor Gonzalez (7) <br />NOES: None (0) <br />ABSENT: N ne (0) <br />ATTEST: ML BJ <br />Kelly B. lancy, CIVIC City Jerk <br />
