WRT | RFP No. 60149: San Leandro Comprehensive Parks Master Plan 28 <br />WRT excels at designing public engagement <br />strategies and tools that inform, engage, and <br />elicit meaningful dialogue. <br />We see community engagement as a vital <br />component of the planning process in order <br />to understand and reflect the community’s <br />values and aspirations. For this reason, it is <br />critical to begin at the outset of a project. <br />When successful, engagement is also a <br />capacity-building exercise that identifies <br />champions for subsequent implementation <br />and builds collaboration. <br />WRT'S COMMITMENT TO COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT <br />FRESNO PARKS MASTER PLAN <br />FRESNO, CA <br />Community Event <br />One Size Does Not Fit All <br />We do not prescribe any one method of <br />engagement. Instead, we will tailor a set of <br />engagement tools from our extensive toolkit <br />to the unique culture and history of the <br />place and goals of the process. Our team <br />is adept at working with a wide variety of <br />stakeholders that include the very young, <br />seniors, millennials and college students, <br />well-informed as well as marginalized <br />communities where trust in the public <br />process needs to be established or rebuilt. <br />We are dedicated to engaging and empowering underrepresented and hard- <br />to-reach stakeholders. From start to finish, we do the work of reaching out, <br />listening, and responding, ensuring people’s ideas, needs, and desires are <br />effectively addressed.
