LANDSCAPE DESIGNER + URBAN PLANNER
PROJECT ROLE: PROJECT MANAGER
Andrés has over 5 years of experience in urban planning, landscape design, community
led design, resilience and climate change. He has worked at a multitude of scales, from
the regional, to the local. As part of the Rockefeller Foundation’s - 100 Resilient Cities, he
supported pioneering work around urban, social, and economic resilience in cities around
the globe. He brings this engagement expertise to his more current work in California,
where he’s aided in the design and development of streetscape improvements, active
transportation planning, and social and economic development. While in Los Angeles, he
has supported with community engagement and outreach for streetscape improvements
in primarily Hispanic neighborhoods of South Los Angeles. More recently, he has been
spearheading community engagement with Mexican-American communities in East Palo
Alto, for the development of a parks masterplan. Andrés approaches every project with a
lens that acknowledges and uplifts previous histories and existing community voices. With
an ultimate goal to collectively co-design for a more just and equitable public realm.
