Annual Action Plan <br />2023 <br />28 <br />OMB Control No: 2506-0117 (exp. 09/30/2021) <br />Planned Activities The City will use CDBG funds to repay its $2.5 million HUD Section 108 Loan used to complete the <br />construction of the City's senior center ($168,135 for FY 2023-2024). The repayment amounts are in <br />accordance with HUD's 20-year repayment schedule. <br />The City plans to use $207,682 in funds to support a shelter and drop-in navigation center at the Nimitz <br />Motel for San Leandro residents experiencing chronic homelessness, as well as relocation costs for <br />eligible residents. <br />4 Project Name CDBG Affordable Housing Preservation 2023 <br />Target Area City-Wide <br />Goals Supported Producing and Preserving Affordable Housing Opportunities <br />Needs Addressed Affordable Housing Needs <br />Funding CDBG: $150,000 <br />Description The City's Single-Family Housing Minor Home Repair Program will provide grants to very low- and low- <br />income households for minor repairs to their homes. <br />Target Date 6/30/2024 <br />Estimate the number and type <br />of families that will benefit from <br />the proposed activities <br />Twenty (20) low-income, owner-occupied households will have minor repairs completed in their single- <br />family or mobile homes. <br />Location Description The owner-occupied homes, located within the jurisdictional boundaries of San Leandro, will be <br />identified once the applications are processed. <br />
