Agenda Section: PRESENTATIONS File Number: 23-185 File Type: Presentation Adopt a Resolution of the City of San Leandro City Council to Approve the Capital Improvement Program 10 Year Plan FY 24 through FY 33 COUNCIL PRIORITY ·Infrastructure SUMMARY The Capital Improvement Program (CIP) 10 Year Plan FY 24 through FY 33 contains the details of projects to be funded as part of the Operating Budget FY 24 and FY 25 as well as projections for projects that could be funded in FY 26 through FY 33. RECOMMENDATIONS Staff recommends approval of the CIP 10 Year Plan FY 24 through FY 33. BACKGROUND Public infrastructure such as streets, utilities, parks, libraries, and other public buildings improve our quality of life. Funding for construction and maintenance of these assets is contained within the FY 24 - FY 25 Operating budget, and the details of the projects to be funded with these funds are contained within the CIP 10 Year Plan. Analysis The Plan specifies how the CIP funding in the two year Operating Budget will be used. The Plan also contains a projection of CIP projects that could be funded for the following eight years. The CIP 10 Year Plan is revised and updated with the adoption of each two year Operating Budget. The document is a useful planning reference to consult when preparing future biennial budgets and/or when making decisions about appropriating funds outside of the budget document.
