Funded Projects <br />Project Number 2025.0060 <br />Project Name Sidewalk Program <br />Project Benefits This program makes it easier for property owners to have their sidewalk repaired. <br />Sidewalk in good condition reduces the frequency of trip and fall injuries suffered by <br />pedestrians. <br />Impacts of Not <br />Completing Project <br />Without this program property owners will need to hire contractors and obtain <br />permits to repair their sidewalk. Property owners won't see the volume discount on <br />sidewalk work that the City obtains. Staff time required to process encroachment <br />permits will increase. The condition of sidewalks within the City may deteriorate. <br />Impact to Operation Cost Neutral <br />Impact to Maintenance Cost Neutral <br />Detailed Cost $550,000 <br />Expenditure Account Appropriation Funding Source Fiscal Year Funded <br />Annual funding for evaluation and repair of sidewalks and other concrete improvements within the public <br />right of way. Project includes funding for a full time inspector to oversee construction work, investigate <br />sidewalk complaints, and work with residents to authorize repair work.
