IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO RESOLUTION NO. SA 2023- RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO CITY COUNCIL ADOPTING THE BIENNIAL BUDGET OF THE SUCCESSOR AGENCY TO THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO FOR 2023-2024 AND 2024-2025 AND MAKING A DETERMINATION PURSUANT TO CALIFORNIA HEALTH AND SAFETY CODE SECTION 33334.3 WHEREAS, the Successor Agency to the Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Leandro must annually adopt a budget establishing spending limits by appropriating authorized expenditures for the upcoming fiscal years; and WHEREAS, it is the intent of the Agency that Low- and Moderate-Income Housing Funds be used to the maximum extent possible to defray the cost of production, improvement, and preservation of low- and moderate-income housing; and WHEREAS, pursuant to California Health and Safety Code Section 33334.3, the funds shall be appropriated for administrative activities associated with the Successor Agency and repayment of the Recognized Obligation Payment Schedules (ROPS). NOW, THEREFORE, the Successor Agency to the Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows: That the Successor Agency reviewed the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 City Manager’s Proposed Budget and caused a public hearing to be held concerning the Proposed Budget on May 15, 2023, and That the Successor Agency hereby finds and determines that the planning and administrative expenses in the Successor Agency biennial budget are necessary for administration and repayment of the ROPS, and That the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 City Manager’s Proposed Budget referenced above is hereby approved and amounts stated herein in Attachment D are hereby appropriated to the purposes stated.
