IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION NO.2023-059 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO CITY COUNCIL TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY <br />MANAGER TO EXECUTE CONSULTING SERVICES AGREEMENTS WITH DKS, FEHR & PEERS, AND W-TRANS FOR <br />ON -CALL TRANSPORTATION ENGINEERING CONSULTING SERVICES IN AN AMOUNT NOT -TO -EXCEED <br />$100,000 WITHIN EACH TWELVE-MONTH PERIOD FOR THREE YEARS WITH EACH FIRM <br />WHEREAS, the Transportation Division of the Engineering Department evaluates, plans, designs, <br />procures, integrates, and implements traffic control and calming devices; bicycle and pedestrian facilities; and <br />public parking facilities to meet the multi -modal transportation needs within the City of San Leandro; and <br />WHEREAS, the Transportation Division seeks to provide timely and efficient services to residents, <br />developers, and the Project Development Division of the Engineering Department; and <br />WHEREAS, staff issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) seeking transportation engineering consulting <br />firms that can assist with transportation and traffic engineering projects as needed; and <br />WHEREAS, after reviewing proposals from seven consultants, staff recommends that DKS, Fehr & Peers, <br />and W-Trans should be individually retained to provide on -call consulting services in amounts not -to -exceed $ <br />100, 000 each within 12 -month periods for three consecutive years; and <br />WHEREAS, staff recommends that the City Council authorize the City Manager to enter Consulting <br />Services Agreements between the City and each of the recommended for selection consulting firms, copies of <br />which are attached and presented to this City Council; and <br />WHEREAS, a blanket purchase order will be requested for each individual consulting firm as tasks are <br />assigned. Consultant costs will be charged to specific projects, each with a designated appropriation; and <br />WHEREAS, DKS, Fehr & Peers, and W-Trans have agreed to the terms of the contract pending Council <br />approval; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents of the agreement; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said agreement. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City of San Leandro City Council does RESOLVE as follows: <br />That said agreement is hereby approved and execution by the City Manager is hereby authorized. <br />
