IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2023-062 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO CITY COUNCIL TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY <br />MANAGER TO EXECUTE AMENDMENT NO.2 TO THE EXISTING CONSULTING SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH <br />BUILDING FUTURES WITH WOMEN AND CHILDREN FOR MOBILE OUTREACH TO THE UNHOUSED AND <br />EMERGENCY HOUSING SUPPORT, INCLUDING INTERIM HOUSING <br />WHEREAS, Building Futures with Women and Children (BFWC) has provided homeless services in the <br />City of San Leandro for many years; and <br />WHEREAS, an agreement dated July 1, 2022 exists between the City of San Leandro and BFWC; and <br />WHEREAS, an amendment No. 1 was adopted on March 6, 2023 between the City of San Leandro and <br />BFWC; and <br />WHEREAS, the City seeks to amend its existing agreement with BFWC so that BFWC may provide <br />interim housing to some of San Leandro's most vulnerable unhoused; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of the proposed amendment. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows: <br />1. The said use of existing additional appropriations, coupled with previously appropriated funds <br />associated with the prior agreement are approved such that the not exceed amount of the contract <br />shall be $835,665; and <br />2. That said consulting services agreement amendment and the funding for the same are hereby <br />approved and the City Manager is authorized to execute all documents to effectuate this resolution. <br />Introduced by Councilmember Aguilar and passed and adopted this 5t" day of June 2023, by the <br />following vote: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Aguilar, Azevedo, Ballew, Bowen, Simon, and Mayor Gonzalez (6) <br />NOES: None (0) <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Reynes (1) <br />ATTEST: &- <br />K Ily B.
