IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2023-071 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO CITY COUNCIL TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO <br />NEGOTIATE AND APPROVE INCREASES IN INDIVIDUAL AND CUMULATIVE CONTRACT CHANGE ORDERS <br />FROM 15% TO 20% (FROM $940,200 TO $1,253,600; AN INCREASE OF $313,400) FOR THE <br />CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT WITH D. L. FALK CONSTRUCTION, INC. FOR THE POLICE BUILDING AND <br />SOUTH OFFICES MODIFICATIONS PROJECT, PROJECT NO. 2014.0481 <br />(PROVIDES FOR AN AUTHORIZATION TO INCREASE CHANGE ORDER CAP FROM 15% TO 20%) <br />WHEREAS, an agreement dated November 5, 2018 exists between the City of San Leandro and D. L. <br />Falk Construction; and <br />WHEREAS, an increase in the contract change order cap from 15% to 20% is needed for changes to <br />the project scope of work; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said increase to the contract change <br />order limits. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows: <br />That the City Manager or her designee is authorized to negotiate and approve cumulative change <br />orders up to a maximum of $1,253,600, which is 20% of the original contract amount. <br />Introduced by Councilmember Ballew and passed and adopted this 20th day of June 2023 by the <br />following vote: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Aguilar, Azevedo, Ballew, Bowen, and Mayor Gonzalez (5) <br />NOES: None (0) <br />ABSENT: Councilmembers Reynes and Simon (2) <br />ATTEST: <br />V6 — �- <br />K41y B.
