The cost of the proposed amendment would not exceed $150,000.00, thereby bringing the total cost of the amended agreement to an amount not to exceed $190,000.00. BACKGROUND On December 1, 2022, the City Manager executed an agreement between the City of San Leandro and Jensen Hughes, Professional Investigations, for Police Professional Investigations, in an amount not to exceed $40,000.00 through June 30, 2024. Analysis Staff recommends using an independent investigation company that specializes in handling complaints against Police employees and Internal Affairs Investigations. Jensen Hughes, Professional Investigations is a reputable company with over 30 years of experience. Its staff is composed of law enforcement-trained investigators, ensuring that any concerns are thoroughly addressed and handled with the utmost professionalism. Fiscal Impacts The budget has sufficient funds available to cover the costs for the proposed amendment.
