the work within five (5) working days or as agreed to between the Contractor and <br />the City. <br />The Contractor shall do such extra work in accordance with the agreement for <br />extra work and with the provisions of these specifications and shall furnish all labor, <br />materials and equipment. Any extra work shall be performed in a manner and <br />time that does not negate the normal contracted work and schedule. The City <br />reserves the right to have other contractors perform extra work. Irrigation repairs <br />performed as extra work must meet the City irrigations standards. All requests for <br />extra irrigation work must be performed within 48 hours. If the work is not performed <br />within 48 hours the repair cost may be withheld from the monthly payments. <br />Payment for extra work performed shall be as agreed to by the Contractor and <br />the City and as bid. Compensation for material will not exceed Contractor cost <br />plus 10%. Contractor must provide invoice copies to be compensated for material <br />and must provide employee timesheets in order to be compensated for labor at <br />the extra work rate. <br />The City may choose to have the contractor perform the extra work at the Hourly <br />Rate for Extra work listed after Attachment 6 under special notes. <br />Other <br />The Contractor shall be responsible for any and all damage to surface and <br />underground improvements due to the Contractor's operations on or adjacent to <br />parcels upon which landscape maintenance and weed abatement work is <br />performed. <br />Specification Interpretation -Should any misunderstanding arise, the City will <br />interpret the Specifications. <br />RFP 55026 CITYWIDE MEDIAN MAINTENANCE Page 54 of 75
