Create an engaging Intranet <br />site – Embark on an internal <br />communications and education <br />program to convey to all City <br />employees their importance within the <br />organization and organizational goals/programs <br />through a robust Intranet. <br />3 <br />Conduct employee survey regarding use and <br />functionality of the City Intranet. The Intranet, <br />when used properly and consistently, can be a <br />vital internal communication link for employees – <br />including one-way and two-way information flow and <br />engagement. Departmental, Citywide, benefits, new <br />employee orientation and City Council information <br />should all be included, along with employee profiles <br />and exciting content. A few key elements should be <br />considered as this is accomplished: <br />1. Make the Intranet essential <br />2. Align with the City’s goals <br />3. Provide consistent, reliable and fresh content <br />4. Build ownership among all departments as the <br />Intranet is visioned and programmed <br />5.
