fl►i SWjnW&CS1V1►[41JEST21.fgoIV&QI►f_VDI_VI�:ZS7 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2023-097 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO CITY COUNCIL TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY <br />MANAGER TO EXECUTE A LEASE AGREEMENT WITH CRAIG MARTIN, TRUSTEE OF HENRY CROWN <br />GRANDCHILDREN TRUST II THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2023, FOR TOTAL SUM OF $1.00 <br />WHEREAS, on July 10, 2023, the City Council authorized the City Manager to enter into a one-year lease <br />contract for $1.00 between the City of San Leandro Craig Martin, not individually but as trustee of Henry Crown <br />Grandchildren Trust II for land lease of 3199 Alvarado Street, San Leandro; and <br />WHEREAS, the San Leandro Police Department, and the City, will use 3199 Alvarado Street for storing of <br />private vehicles that will be stored as evidence; and <br />WHEREAS, the San Leandro Police Department will also use the land for short-term holding of stray or <br />found animals; and <br />WHEREAS, the San Leandro Police Department will use the land for storage of evidence in Conex <br />containers, along with storage of decommissioned police vehicles; and <br />WHEREAS, the trustee of Henry Crown Grandchildren have opted to lease 3199 Alvarado Street to the <br />City for $1 (one dollar), and will automatically renew the following year for the same fixed price; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council action will not impact fund balance because there are funds available in the <br />FY2022-2023 adopted budget and proposed biennial budget for FY2024-2025; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said agreement. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City of San Leandro City Council does RESOLVE as follows: <br />That said lease is approved and execution by the City Manager is hereby authorized. <br />Introduced by Councilmember Aguilar and passed and adopted this 10th day of July 2023, by the <br />following vote: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Aguilar, Azevedo, Ballew, Bowen, Reynes, and Mayor Gonzalez (6) <br />NOES: None (0) <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Simon (1) <br />ATTEST: lam, <br />Kelly B.
