<br />Non-Professional Services Agreement between June 29, 2023 <br />City of San Leandro and Consolidated Engineering Laboratories <br />For Washington Ave Reconstruction Project Exhibit A Page 1 of 1 <br />EXHIBIT A <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> <br />Project Description <br />City is reconstructing Washington Avenue between W. Juana Ave and Castro St. The project work <br />includes, pavement rehabilitation, curb and gutter, sidewalk, driveways, curb ramps, drainage <br />improvements and traffic signal modifications. <br /> Scope of Services <br /> <br />The scope of work for this agreement includes the following services: <br /> <br />SOILS COMPACTION <br />Testing will be performed during site grading (for curb ramp base) and utility trench backfill. All field testing <br />will be performed using a nuclear gauge to determine the relative compaction of the soil in conformance <br />with American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) D6938. <br /> <br />ASPHALTIC CONCRETE PAVING <br />Contractor will inspect and test base and paving, including but not limited to: <br />• Compaction and thickness of base according Caltrans Specification Section 26; <br />• Compaction of asphalt concrete tested with nuclear gauge in accordance with American Society for <br />Testing and Materials (ASTM) D2950. Nuclear density gauge determination will be correlated with <br />density of compacted specimens determined according to ASTM D1188; <br />• Temperature of asphalt concrete just prior to paving; <br /> <br />CONCRETE <br />During the pours, contractor will: <br />• Monitor and test for slump of each truck load; <br />• Record temperature of air and concrete; <br />• Cast five (4x8) cylinders in 4 sets for compression tests per 150 cubic yards; <br />• Perform air checks, if required by specifications, during concrete placement <br /> <br />Concrete Compression Testing <br />Contractor will transport all samples to Caltrans certified laboratory for compression testing in strict <br />accordance with the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) requirements. Compression test <br />reports will be provided. <br /> <br />Deliverables <br />• Send notifications and alert City of any test failures. <br />• Provide written test results and any report no later than 48 hours of each test. <br /> <br />DocuSign Envelope ID: 37F757DF-5655-48CF-BF04-7BDD9722C0FA
