February 16, 2021City Council Minutes <br />ACTION ITEMS10. <br />10.A.21-097 Staff Report for Resolution Proclaiming April 18 as a Day Recognizing <br />Steven Taylor and the Sanctity of Every Human Life, Including People of <br />Color <br />Public Comment was received by Celina Reynes and Stephen Michael Tow. <br />Received and Filed. <br />21-098 RESOLUTION of the City of San Leandro City Council Proclaiming April <br />18 as a Day Recognizing Steven Taylor and the Sanctity of Every Human <br />Life, Including People of Color <br />A motion was made by Councilmember Simon, seconded by Councilmember <br />Lopez, that this Resolution be Adopted. The motion carried by the following <br />vote. <br />Aye:Aguilar, Azevedo, Cox, Lopez, Simon, Cutter6 - <br />Absent:Ballew1 - <br />Enactment No: Reso 2021-035 <br />10.B.21-082 Staff Report for a City of San Leandro City Council Urgency Ordinance to <br />Require Large Grocery Stores in San Leandro to Pay Employees an <br />Additional Five Dollars per Hour in Temporary Hazard Pay During a <br />Specified Period of Time Associated with the Covid-19 Pandemic <br />There were approximately 14 public speakers. <br />Comments were made by the following individuals: <br />Celina Reynes, Stephen Michael Tow, Renika Williams, Loretta Medellin, Esther Felix, <br />Emily Greigo, Douglas Spalding, Leo T. West, Lawrence, John Gomez, Victor Miranda, <br />Jun Z, and Sheri Cloney. <br />Received and Filed. <br />21-083 City of San Leandro City Council Urgency Ordinance to Require Large <br />Grocery Stores in San Leandro to Pay Employees an Additional Five <br />Dollars per Hour in Temporary Hazard Pay During a Specified Period of <br />Time Associated with the Covid-19 Pandemic <br />A motion was made by Vice Mayor Aguilar, seconded by Councilmember <br />Azevedo, that this Urgency Ordinance be Passed to Print and Adopted.
