17 <br /> <br /> <br />But now before we end, here is some important news I’d like to share about this year’s San <br />Leandro Cherry Festival, which is taking place on Saturday, June 2. In addition to the parade, the <br />kids’ zone, and the great food, the festival is always highlighted by amazing music. And this year, <br />I’m proud to announce that the East Bay’s own Goapele will be the musical headliner. She mixes <br />soul and R&B music with a strong social conscience. We’ll have more information on the rest of <br />the Cherry Festival lineup soon, but in the meantime, let’s enjoy some of her music as we depart <br />this evening. <br />Again, it is an honor to serve as your Mayor.
