IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO RESOLUTION NO. 2023-115 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO CITY COUNCIL TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONSULTING SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH FEHR & PEERS FOR THE BICYCLE AND PEDESTRIAN MASTER PLAN UPDATE FOR A MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF COMPENSATION OF $172,307.00 AND AUTHORIZATION FOR CUMULATIVE AMENDMENTS TO THE CONSULTING SERVICES AGREEMENT UP TO 25% OF THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF COMPENSATION AND APPROPRIATING $115,383.75 OF MEASURE BB BICYCLE AND PEDESTRIAN FUNDS FOR THE PROJECT WHEREAS, staff issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) seeking transportation engineering consulting firms that can assist with the 2023 Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan update; and WHEREAS, after reviewing proposals from two consultants, staff recommends that Fehr & Peers should be retained to provide consulting services for a maximum amount of compensation of $172,307.00; and WHEREAS, staff recommends that the City Council authorize the City Manager to enter into a Consulting Services Agreement between the City and Fehr & Peers, copies of which are attached and presented to this City Council; and WHEREAS, a purchase order is required for Fehr & Peers. Consultant costs will be charged to account number: 210-36-351; and WHEREAS, Fehr & Peers has agreed to the terms of the contract pending Council approval; and WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents of the agreement; and WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said agreement. NOW, THEREFORE, the City of San Leandro City Council does RESOLVE as follows: That said agreement is approved and execution by the City Manager is hereby authorized.
