Answers
You are naturally
going to want to do
more!
Some different ideas
•My first actions would include checking-in on my family
and neighbors. Then text the EOC Director, the City
Manager for example, to let them know that I’m ok and
request a status update from the EOC. I’d also let them
know what I’m hearing and seeing.
•Let’s assume someone in my family is having a medical
emergency- I’d try to call 911 and tend to that situation
first, and then alert the EOC Director of my status.
•I’d be interested to learn from the EOC how many
people are displaced, who has power/internet, and are
we setting up a shelter, and what are our priorities.
•I think I’d ask the EOC to help with a getting water to my
community, places to charge our phones, and see
where I could send interested volunteers and
donations.
