The City has reviewed <br />the requirements for the 2021 revised final rule (Notice: CPD-21-09 released on August 24, 2021) for <br />Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, as amended by the Housing and <br />Community Development Act of 1992, for funding applicable to the City (CDBG, CDBG-CV, and Section <br />108). Additionally, City staff attended trainings and will continue to create a plan to address Section 3 <br />requirements with the goal of setting standards to implement recognized Qualitative Efforts in staff <br />hiring for CDBG projects with funding more than $200,000 and, if possible, other general fund <br />procurement procedures.
