File Number: 23-396 <br />The traffic safety equipment will allow City Staff to collect and analyze data and use appropriate <br />countermeasures to mitigate traffic safety issues. <br />Current Agency Policies <br />·Vision Zero - City of San Leandro’s initiative to eliminate all roadway fatalities and severe <br />injuries. <br />Applicable General Plan Policies <br />·Policy T-3.6 - Pedestrian Environment. Improve the walkability of all streets in San Leandro <br />through the planning, implementing, and maintaining of pedestrian supportive <br />infrastructure. <br />·Policy T-5.7 - Technology and Roadway Efficiency. Use technology to create a more <br />efficient transportation system, and the maximize the benefits of the existing road system . <br />·Policy T-7.1 - Law Enforcement.
