IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2023- <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO CITY COUNCIL TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY <br />MANAGER TO EXECUTE A NON-PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH BRIGHTVIEW LANDSCAPE <br />SERVICES, INC. FOR PARK TURF MAINTENANCE FOR A TERM OF 5 YEARS WITH TWO (2) ONE-YEAR <br />EXTENSION OPTIONS FOR A CUMULATIVE 5-YEAR TOTAL NOT TO EXCEED $1,286,315.42 <br />WHEREAS, on June 30, 2023, the City issued Request for Proposals (RFP) No. 60988 for park turf <br />maintenance and park area weed abatement; and <br />WHEREAS, on July 18, 2023, the City received six (6) proposals from qualified landscape maintenance <br />companies; and <br />WHEREAS, Brightview was deemed the most qualified company to perform these services based on its <br />proposal, interviews, pricing and references; and <br />WHEREAS, the agreement includes annual adjustments for cost increases and a 2.5% contingency for <br />unanticipated work; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents of the agreement; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said agreement. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows: <br />That said agreement substantially in the form presented is hereby approved and execution by the City <br />Manager is hereby authorized, and <br />That the City Manager is authorized to negotiate and approve cumulative change orders up to 2.5% of <br />the original contract amount each year of the contract; and <br />That an original executed agreement shall be attached to and made part of this resolution. <br />Introduced by _______ and passed and adopted this 18th day of September 2023, by the following vote: <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br />ATTEST: <br />Kelly B.
