IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2023-141 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO CITY COUNCIL TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY <br />MANAGER TO EXECUTE A NON-PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH RUBICON LANDSCAPE <br />CORPORATION FOR CITYWIDE MEDIAN MAINTENANCE FOR A TERM OF 5 YEARS WITH TWO (2) ONE-YEAR <br />EXTENSION OPTIONS FOR A CUMULATIVE 5-YEAR TOTAL NOT TO EXCEED AMOUNT OF $1,994,353.08 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on May 24, 2023, the City issued Request for Proposals (RFP) No. 60668 for Citywide <br />median and City facility landscape maintenance services; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on July 11, 2023, the City received six (6) proposals from qualified landscape maintenance <br />companies; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Rubicon Landscape Corporation was deemed the most qualified company to perform median <br />maintenance and weed abatement services based on its proposal, interviews, pricing and references; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the agreement includes annual adjustments for cost increases and a 2.5% contingency for <br />unanticipated work; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents of the agreement; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said agreement. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows: <br /> <br />That said agreement substantially in the form presented is hereby approved and execution by the City <br />Manager is hereby authorized; and <br /> <br />That the City Manager is authorized to negotiate and approve cumulative contract amendments up to <br />2.5% of the original contract amount each year of the contract; and <br /> <br />That an original executed agreement shall be attached to and made part of this resolution. <br /> <br />Introduced by Councilmember Reynes and passed and adopted this 16th day of October 2023, by the <br />following vote: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers Aguilar, Azevedo, Ballew, Bowen, Reynes, Simon, and <br /> Mayor González (7) <br />NOES: None (0) <br />ABSENT: None (0) <br /> <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> Kelly B.
