Bi-lingual Information (e.g., Vietnamese, Chinese, Amharic, Spanish, etc.) & Assistance Program to <br />Seniors (defined as 62 years old and over). Up to 250 clients served during the contract year. Following <br />service areas included: <br />a. CalFresh/Food Insecurity <br />b. Housing/Rental Issues <br />c. Legal Referral <br />d. Healthcare (Medicaid, Medicare, Insurance) <br />e. Domestic Violence <br />f. Mental Health Referral <br />g. Social Security Administration <br />h. Household (Telephone/Utility Bills/Disputes) <br />I. Safety and Injury Prevention <br />j. Employment/Unemployment Benefit Inquiries <br />k. Advance Health Care Directives <br /> <br />2. Three (3) Pre-ESL/ESL classes taught on quarterly basis (e.g. Jan-Mar; Apr-Jun; Jul-Sep.). Up to 75 <br />students served during contract year. <br /> <br />3. Operating Hours: Tuesday-Friday, 9am-1pm <br /> <br />4. Outreach - With assistance from the City of San Leandro, VACCEB will perform bi-lingual outreach to <br />San Leandro residents offering above services. Host two “Meet and Greet” events during contract period. <br /> <br />5. Instructor/tutors, Program Coordinator, and support staff to be provided by VACCEB and paid under <br />budget. <br /> <br />6.
