February 24, 2021Rules Committee Minutes <br />Maginnis. <br />b. The Committee supports moving the naming of the San Leandro Ball Field to Lou <br />Profumo forward to the Recreation and Human Services Department <br />Public Comment was received, there were approximately 5 public speakers. <br />Comments were made by the following individuals: <br />Louis Montemayor, Shelia Young, Judith Glenn, Eric Nelson, and Pat Loomes <br />There being no further comments, by consensus, the Rules Committee recommends <br />staff return to Rules Committe and do additional research on Chief Maginnis’ <br />background, in light of the local and national spotlight on Police Departments. <br />2.B.21-112 Discussion Regarding Future Agenda Items <br />Public Comment was received, there were approximately 16 public speakers. <br />Comments were made by the following individuals: <br />John Hernandez, Jen Granlahano American Cancer Society, Jennifer Duncan, Amaya <br />Wooding, Al Harvey, Dr. Phillip Gardner, Blythe Young American Heart Association, <br />Beatriz Cardenas Duncan, Jason Cross, Dennis Ducey, Ahmed Cobari, Nicole <br />Turkson, Paul Sekhon, Ali, Preshad, Ann Sekhon, <br />The outstanding discussion topics will be brought back to the Rules Committee. <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS3. <br />There were approximately 17 public speakers. <br />Comments were made by the following individuals: <br />John Hernandez Monroy, Jen Grand-Lejano, Jennifer Duncan, Amaya Wooding, <br />Alharbi, Phillip Gardiner, Blythe Young, Beatrice Cardenas Duncan, Jason Cross, <br />Denis Ducey, Ahmed Kobaree, Nicole Turkson, Paul Sekhon, David, Ali, and Prashant <br />COMMITTEE MEMBER COMMENTS4. <br />ADJOURN5. <br />The meeting was adjourned at 10:33 a.m. <br />RESPECTFULLY SUBMITTED: <br />___________________________________ <br />LETICIA I.
