<br />I am requesting your approval to file a notice of suspension, per City’s Charter Section 305(h), of the <br />action on the Manipur resolution from Monday 10/16/23. And in conjunction, requesting the <br />resolution be brought back for council adoption on 11/6/23. Since I introduced the resolution under <br />item 14 last month and worked with the Manipur group to help draft the resolution, I had wanted to <br />motion the item to adopt the resolution. I spoke to Council Member Ballew today and he is ok with <br />me motioning the item for adoption if brought back to the next council meeting on 11/6/23. I will be <br />reaching out to each of the Bay Area congressional representatives listed on the resolution to <br />continue efforts to help those in Manipur and my name listed on the resolution as introducing the <br />item will help make those connections. <br /> <br />Thank you for your consideration of my request. <br /> <br />- Fred Simon <br /> <br /> <br />
