This $10,000 grant will fund initiatives (as described in the attached <br />Scope of Services) to allow the San Leandro Black Chamber of Commerce to increase its capacity <br />and focused technical assistance to serve San Leandro’s local business community. <br />This grant is awarded at a key moment for both the City and the San Leandro Black Chamber of <br />Commerce. In the coming year, as local businesses seek to adapt to changing market conditions, <br />there will be significant challenges and opportunities for our local economy. The City appreciates <br />the leadership that the San Leandro Black Chamber of Commerce is demonstrating in working <br />toward programs to foster the growth of Black-owned and other businesses. The City seeks to <br />invest in the San Leandro Black Chamber of Commerce to support their ability to provide <br />resources and services needed for businesses to be successful. <br />Within the next 30-45 days, the City will make an initial disbursement of $2,000 to the San <br />Leandro Black Chamber of Commerce.
