The cost for the <br />damaged furniture will be charged to the main contractor for the subject project. <br />The combined cost of these two situations is $27,179.07, equivalent to 29.5% of the original <br />contract value. Staff submits the attached resolution, which requests an increase in the <br />cumulative change order cap for the non-professional services agreement with Watson <br />Consoles to 37% to address these situations. This extension will also encompass future <br />expenses related to monitor mounts, as the San Leandro Police Department previously <br />requested larger monitors for the Dispatch stations compared to the original design. <br />Current Agency Policies <br />·Provide quality public safety service and grow our partnership with the community to <br />keep San Leandro safe. <br />Previous Actions <br />·On September 20, 2021, the City Council by Resolution No. 2021-139 authorized the <br />City Manager to execute a Non-Professional Services Agreement with Watson <br />Consoles to furnish and install new Dispatch furniture related to the subject project. <br />Applicable General Plan Policies <br />·GOAL CSF-1: Provide and maintain high-quality police, fire, and emergency medical <br />services <br />Financial Impacts <br />The Police Building and South Offices Modifications Project is estimated to cost $11,134,983, <br />not including any payments or settlement for delays.
