IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2024-004 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT THE DONATION OF $34,210 FROM THE FRIENDS OF THE SAN LEANDRO PUBLIC LIBRARY TO <br />ENHANCE LIBRARY CARD SIGN UP MONTH, SUMMER LIBRARY PROGRAM, AND PROGRAMS AT THE MANOR <br />BRANCH, AND TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT AND ALLOCATE ALL FUNDS AND EXECUTE <br />ALL DOCUMENTS RELATED TO THE DONATION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in 1984, Friends of the San Leandro Public Library (Friends) was established to support the San <br />Leandro Public Library; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Friends is a non-profit organization comprised of community volunteers who generate funds to <br />support the San Leandro Public Library; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, since 1984, Friends has provided donations annually to support and enhance a wide variety of <br />operational aspects of the San Leandro Public Library; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Friends’ donation of $34,210 may support the Summer Library Program, Library Card Sign Up <br />Month, and programming at the Manor Branch Library. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City of San Leandro City Council does RESOLVE as follows: <br /> <br />1. That the City Council humbly and gratefully accepts the Friends of the San Leandro Public Library donation of <br />$34,210 for Library Card Sign Up Month, Summer Library Program and programming at Manor Branch Library, <br />and the City Manager is authorized to execute all documents related the donation; and <br /> <br />2. That an appropriation of the donation of $34,210 in revenue account #010-3803 and expenditure account #010- <br />68-005 is approved. <br /> <br />Introduced by Councilmember Aguilar and passed and adopted this 5th day of February 2024 by the following vote: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers Aguilar, Azevedo, Ballew, Bowen, Simon, and Mayor González (6) <br /> <br />NOES: None (0) <br /> <br />ABSENT: None (0) <br /> <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> Kelly B.
