The Personal <br />Consumption Expenditures (PCE)index rose 0.4%month-over-month and 3.4%year-over-year in September,unchanged from August.Core <br />PCE,the Federal Reserve’s preferred inflation gauge,increased 0.3%month-over-month and decelerated to 3.7%year-over-year in <br />September from a 3.8%increase in August.Personal income and spending remained relatively healthy, but the personal savings rate <br />continued its declining trend to 3.4% in September from 4.0% in August.
