February 13, 2024City Council Minutes <br />Councilmember Aguilar nominated Sulema Hernandez, Councilmember Bowen <br />nominated Sbeydeh Viveros-Walton, Councilmember Simon nominated David <br />Anderson, and Mayor Gonzalez nominated Ken Pon <br />City Clerk Clancy did a random order drawing for Round 1 nomination votes: <br />Sulema Hernandez, David Anderson, Sbeydeh Viveros-Walton and Ken Pon <br />Round 1 <br />Sulema David Sbeydeh Ken <br />Aguilar Y A A A <br />Azevedo Y Y A A <br />Ballew A A Y A <br />Bowen N N Y N <br />Simon A Y N N <br />Gonzalez A A A Y <br />No nominee received a majority vote. The Mayor rescinded Ken Pon's Nomination and <br />nominated Pcyeta Stroud. <br />There was a motion by Councilmember Aguilar and a Second by Mayor Gonzalez to <br />extend the meeting to 11:00 pm. Motion passed Unanimous, 6-0. <br />The City Clerk did a random order drawing for Round 2 nomination votes: <br />Sulema Hernandez, David Anderson, Sbeydeh Viveros-Walton and Pcyeta Stroud <br />Round 2 <br />Sulema Pcyeta Sbeydeh David <br />Aguilar Y A A A <br />Azevedo Y A A Y <br />Ballew A A Y A <br />Bowen N Y Y N <br />Simon Y N N Y <br />Gonzalez A Y A N <br />At 10:59 pm there was a motion by Councilmember Azevedo and a Second by <br />Councilmember Ballew to extend the meeting to 11:30 pm. Motion failed 3-3 with <br />Councilmembers Aguilar & Ballew and Mayor Gonzalez voting no. <br />There was a motion by Mayor Gonzalez to Adjourn and a Second by Councilmember <br />Azevedo. Motion failed 3-3 with Councilmembers Aguilar & Bowen and Vice Mayor <br />Simon voting no. <br />There was another motion by Councilmember Aguilar and a Second by <br />Councilmember Simon to extend the meeting to 11:30 pm.
