IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2024-033 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT AN EMERGENCY RELIEF <br />GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,365,453 FROM THE FEDERAL HIGHWAY ADMINISTRATION; TO EXECUTE A PROJECT <br />SPECIFIC AGREEMENT WITH FEDERAL HIGHWAY ADMINISTRATION (FHWA); TO APPROPRIATE $2,094,125 INTO <br />ACCOUNT NO. 150-38-834; AND TO AUTHORIZE MATCH FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $271,318 FROM ACCOUNT NO. <br />210-38-834 ALL FOR THE LAKE CHABOT ROAD EROSION REPAIRS, PROJECT NO. 2023.4020 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the 2023 New Year’s Eve storm caused significant erosion to the upslope and downslope hillsides <br />of Lake Chabot Road; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on April 3, 2023, the City Council by Resolution No. 2023-033 proclaimed a local emergency <br />related to persistent storm damage; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City staff submitted a Damage Assessment Form to FHWA’s Emergency Relief Program; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, FHWA has reviewed the Damage Assessment Form and has approved $2,365,453 Emergency Relief <br />Funds for the Lake Chabot Road erosion project. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City of San Leandro City Council does RESOLVE as follows: <br /> <br />• That the City accepts $2,365,453 FHWA Emergency Relief Funds for the repair of Lake Chabot Road <br />erosion; and <br /> <br />• That the City Appropriate $2,094,125 into Account No. 150-38-834; and <br /> <br />• That the City Authorize the use of Match Funds in the amount of $271,318 from account <br />210-38-834 <br /> <br />Introduced by Councilmember Aguilar and passed and adopted this 15th day of April 2024 by the following vote: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers Aguilar, Azevedo, Ballew, Bowen, Simon, Viveros-Walton, and Mayor González (7) <br /> <br />NOES: None (0) <br /> <br />ABSENT: None (0) <br /> <br /> <br />ATTEST: _________________________________ <br /> Kelly B.
