RESOLUTION NO. 2024-001 PA 1 <br />IN THE PARKING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2024-001 PA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF THE SAN LEANDRO PARKING AUTHORITY DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER <br />TO VOTE “YES” FOR CITY OF SAN LEANDRO OWNED PARCELS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro is proposing to amend the Stormwater Fee in accordance with the <br />Proposition 218 process that requires voter approval for new or increased property related fees; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the San Leandro Parking Authority (Parking Authority) owns parcel, APN 75-226-10, the 4.4 <br />acre Washington Plaza parking lot; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, while the Parking Authority is currently exempt from paying the Stormwater Fee, the <br />proposed Stormwater Fee Amendment would apply to all properties in the City that benefit from the stormwater <br />system, including the Parking Authority parcel; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 charge to the Parking Authority would be $2,734.18 (which <br />reflects the proposed municipal rate of $621.02 per acre) for the 4.4 acre Washington Plaza parking lot; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the San Leandro Parking Authority, as a property owner subject to the proposed Stormwater <br />Fee, has elected to exercise its right to return a ballot in favor of the Stormwater Fee amendment. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the San Leandro Parking Authority does RESOLVE that the City Manager, acting as <br />the Parking Authority’s Executive Director, shall vote “yes” on all parcels owned by the San Leandro Parking <br />Authority and return those ballots to the City Clerk within the time period to cast ballots. <br /> <br />Introduced by Authority Member Azevedo and passed and adopted this 20th day of May 2024 by the <br />following vote: <br /> <br />Members of the Parking Authority: <br /> <br />AYES: Members Aguilar, Azevedo, Ballew, Bowen, Simon, Viveros-Walton, and Chair González (7) <br /> <br />NOES: None (0) <br /> <br />ABSENT: None (0) <br /> <br /> <br />ATTEST: _________________________________ <br /> Kelly B.
