RESOLUTION NO. 2024-001 PA 1 IN THE PARKING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO RESOLUTION NO. 2024-001 PA RESOLUTION OF THE SAN LEANDRO PARKING AUTHORITY DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO VOTE “YES” FOR CITY OF SAN LEANDRO OWNED PARCELS WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro is proposing to amend the Stormwater Fee in accordance with the Proposition 218 process that requires voter approval for new or increased property related fees; and WHEREAS, the San Leandro Parking Authority (Parking Authority) owns parcel, APN 75-226-10, the 4.4 acre Washington Plaza parking lot; and WHEREAS, while the Parking Authority is currently exempt from paying the Stormwater Fee, the proposed Stormwater Fee Amendment would apply to all properties in the City that benefit from the stormwater system, including the Parking Authority parcel; and WHEREAS, the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 charge to the Parking Authority would be $2,734.18 (which reflects the proposed municipal rate of $621.02 per acre) for the 4.4 acre Washington Plaza parking lot; and WHEREAS, the San Leandro Parking Authority, as a property owner subject to the proposed Stormwater Fee, has elected to exercise its right to return a ballot in favor of the Stormwater Fee amendment. NOW, THEREFORE, the San Leandro Parking Authority does RESOLVE that the City Manager, acting as the Parking Authority’s Executive Director, shall vote “yes” on all parcels owned by the San Leandro Parking Authority and return those ballots to the City Clerk within the time period to cast ballots.
