IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2024-041 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO’S APPROPRIATION LIMIT <br />FOR FISCAL YEAR 2024-2025 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Article XIII of the California Constitution and Section 7900 et seq. of the California <br />Government Code requires cities to adopt limits on appropriations for each fiscal year; and <br />WHEREAS, the City’s Gann Appropriation Limit has been calculated for Fiscal Year 2024-2025 <br />and is set forth in that certain document titled Gann Appropriation Limitation Calculation Fiscal Year <br />2024-25 attached hereto and made a part hereof as Exhibit A; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff report and the related documentation has been made available to the public <br />as required by law; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City of San Leandro City Council does RESOLVE as follows: <br /> <br />1. The adjustment factors elected for calculating the Gann Appropriation Limit are the California <br />State Per Capita Personal Income growth rate at 3.62% and the percentage rate of change in <br />population within the County at 1.21%; and <br /> <br />2. The Appropriation Limit for 2024-2025 is established at $325,136,898. <br /> <br />Introduced by Councilmember Viveros-Walton and passed and adopted this 20th day of May 2024 by <br />the following vote: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers Aguilar, Azevedo, Ballew, Bowen, Simon, Viveros-Walton, and Mayor González (7) <br /> <br />NOES: None (0) <br /> <br />ABSENT: None (0) <br /> <br /> <br />ATTEST: _________________________________ <br /> Kelly B.
