IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO RESOLUTION NO. 2024-053 RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT FOR FEDERAL ENERGY EFFICIENCY CONSERVATION BLOCK GRANT FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $143,300 AND TO APPROPRIATE THE FUNDS FOR PURCHASE OF ELECTRIC TRANSIT VANS FOR THE CITY FLEET WHEREAS, the Energy Efficiency Conservation Block Grant equipment rebate program is a federal program organized by the Department of Energy for purchase of equipment related to energy efficiency, renewable energy, building electrification, and electric vehicle infrastructure; and WHEREAS, the Department of Energy has allocated to the City of San Leandro funds in the amount of $143,300 for the program; and WHEREAS, successful Applicants will enter into a contract with the Department of Energy to complete the scope of the project as outlined in the grant application. NOW, THEREFORE, the City of San Leandro City Council does RESOLVE as follows: That the agreement for grant funds is hereby approved; and That the City of San Leandro, as the Applicant, certifies that if the project is awarded, the Applicant has or will have sufficient funds to operate and maintain the project; and That the City of San Leandro, as the Applicant, certifies that based upon similar previous grant agreements, and after review of the proposed agreement the Applicant understands, and subject to approval as to form by the City Attorney agrees to the General Provisions contained in the contract shown in the Grant Acceptance Form; and That the City Council authorizes the City Manager or her designees to sign and submit all documents, including, but not limited to applications, agreements, amendments, and payment requests, which may be necessary for the completion of the Grant Scope; and That the City of San Leandro agrees to comply with all applicable Federal, State and local laws, ordinances, rules, regulations and guidelines; and That said grant funds are appropriated to account 690-16-002-7510.
