IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2024-055 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AMENDMENT NO. 6 <br />TO THE SERVICE CONTRACT WITH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION; <br />TO APPROPRIATE ADDITIONAL REIMBURSABLE FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $210,000; <br />AND TO REAPPROPRIATE REIMBURSABLE FUNDS FROM PREVIOUS AMENDMENT NO. 3 <br /> IN THE AMOUNT OF $150,000 FOR THE SECTION 130 GRADE CROSSING IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM <br />FOR THE WASHINGTON/CHAPMAN RAILROAD CROSSING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, <br />PROJECT NO. 2016.0320 (AGREEMENT WITH UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD COMPANY <br /> (UPRR) TO ALLOW IMPROVEMENTS AT THE WASHINGTON/CHAPMAN RAILROAD CROSSING AND <br />APPROVE AND APPROPRIATE GRANT FUNDS FOR THE PROJECT) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City entered into a Service Contract with CalTrans to construct the programmed <br />highway improvements at the Washington/Chapman Railroad Crossing; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC), through Section 130, previously <br />approved $150,000 in federal funding for the construction of highway improvements at the <br />Washington/Chapman Railroad Crossing via Grant Amendment No. 3 to the Service Contract; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the CPUC, through Section 130, approved an additional $210,000 in federal funding <br />for the construction of highway improvements at the Washington/Chapman Railroad Crossing via Grant <br />Amendment No. 6 to the Service Contract; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the CPUC also approved a grant extension through June 30, 2025 for the construction <br />of highway improvements at the Washington/Chapman Railroad Crossing via Grant Amendment No. 6 to <br />the Service Contract; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said Grant Amendment No. 6. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows: <br /> <br />That said Service Contract Amendment No. 6 is hereby approved and execution by the City <br />Manager is hereby authorized; and <br /> <br />That $360,000 in Account No. 150-38-387 is appropriated for the subject project; and <br /> <br />That the City Manager is authorized to take all actions, and execute all documents necessary, <br />subject to approval as to form by the City Attorney, to effect this Resolution. <br /> <br />Introduced by Councilmember Bowen and passed and adopted this 3rd day of June 2024, by the <br />following vote: <br />
