IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2024-075 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT <br />TO THE AGREEMENT WITH MEYERS NAVE FOR PROVISION OF LEGAL SERVICES, TO INCREASE THE <br />AMOUNT BY $186,122 FOR A TOTAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $1,200,422 IN FISCAL YEAR 2023-2024 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro contracts with Meyers Nave for the provision of legal services; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on December 19, 2022 the City Council approved Resolution No. 2022-220 to amend the <br />existing agreement for legal services between the City of San Leandro and Meyers Nave for an amount not to <br />exceed $1,014,300 in Fiscal Year 2023-2024; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, additional funds are needed to pay for incurred and anticipated legal services in March, April, <br />May, and June of 2024; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the amendment will be funded from existing salary savings resulting in no impact to <br />undesignated fund balances; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said amendment, subject to approval as to form <br />by the City Attorney. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows: <br /> <br />That the City Manager is authorized to execute an amendment to the agreement with Meyers Nave for <br />provision of legal services, to increase the amount by $186,122 for a total amount not to exceed $1,200,422 in <br />Fiscal Year 2023-2024. <br /> <br />Introduced by Councilmember Bowen and passed and adopted this 17th day of June 2024, by the <br />following vote: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers Aguilar, Azevedo, Ballew, Bowen, Simon, and Mayor González (6) <br /> <br />NOES: None (0) <br /> <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Viveros-Walton (1) <br /> <br /> <br />ATTEST: _________________________________ <br /> Kelly B.
