IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2024-076 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE <br />AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO THE NON-PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH WEST COAST <br />ARBORISTS, INC. FOR CITYWIDE TREE PRUNING, STUMP REMOVAL, AND ARBORIST SERVICES, <br />INCREASING THE NOT-TO-EXCEED AMOUNT BY $400,000 IN FY 2024-2025 FOR A TOTAL <br />CONTRACT AMOUNT OF $1,154,000 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Burlingame released a Request for Proposal (RFP) regarding tree pruning, <br />stump removal, and arborist services on May 13, 2021, and on June 3, 2021, proposals were received, <br />evaluated, and ranked based on the selected criteria listed in the RFP; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, West Coast Arborist, Inc. submitted the most qualified proposal; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, San Leandro Municipal Code §1-6-305 provides that purchases available through <br />cooperative purchasing with other governmental agencies may be made without competitive <br />bidding; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council invokes Municipal Code §1-6-305 because it is in the public interest <br />to take advantage of the preferred pricing achieved by the City of Burlingame’s competitive process for <br />arborist services; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, West Coast Arborist, Inc. has agreed to honor the terms of the City of Burlingame’s <br />2021 contract for an additional fiscal year; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents of the agreement; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said agreement. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows: <br /> <br />1. That the amendments to the agreement are approved and execution by the City Manager is <br />authorized, including amendments to extend the term to June 30, 2025; and <br /> <br />2. That the amendment is approved for a sum not to exceed $400,000 for Fiscal Year 2024-2025 <br />for a total contract amount of $1,154,000; and <br /> <br />3. That the City Manager is authorized to take all actions and execute all documents necessary to <br />effect the purpose and intent of this Resolution. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
