IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION NO 2002-140 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING <br />(2639/293:3) <br />WITH ATCNANCOM, INC. DBAATC PROVIDING FOR PARATRANSIT SERVICES <br />WHEREAS, receives funding from Measure B sales tax revenue for non-mandated paratransit <br />services; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro desires to coordinate their Measure B funded non-mandated <br />paratransit services with the East Bay Paratransit Consortium of AC Transit and BART ("Consortium"); and <br />WHEREAS, ATC/Vancom, Inc. dba ATC ("ATC"), is the ADA Paratransit Broker (broker) for the <br />Consortium, and has been selected by the Consortium to provide ADA paratransit services in the combined <br />service area of AC Transit and BART; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro desires to coordinate their Measure B funded non-mandated <br />paratransit services with the ADA paratransit services to be delivered by the Consortium while the City <br />develops a long term strategy for use of these Measure B funds; and <br />WHEREAS the Consortium has indicated a willingness to provide coordinated Measure B . <br />paratransit service, through its broker, in the same manner as it provides ADA paratransit service to <br />residents of the City of San Leandro while the City develops a long term strategy for the-use of its Measure <br />B funds; and <br />WHEREAS, a proposed memorandum of understanding between the City of San Leandro and the <br />broker to accomplish the purposes recited above has been presented to the City Council; an_d <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents of the memorandum of understanding and <br />the City Manager has recommended approval thereof. <br />NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF $AN LEANDRO RESOLVES: <br />Section 1. That the memorandum of understanding between the City and ATC for the purpose of <br />providing paratransit services within the City is hereby approved. • <br />Section 2.
