IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO RESOLUTION NO. 2024-116 RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE GRANT FUNDING AGREEMENT NO. PS25016 WITH THE CALIFORNIA OFFICE OF TRAFFIC SAFETY (OTS) TO GRANT $83,000 FOR THE PEDESTRIAN AND BICYCLE SAFETY PROGRAM WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro has been awarded an $83,000 California Office of Traffic Safety grant for the City’s Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety Program; and WHEREAS, the City must be authorized to accept and appropriate $83,000 in OTS Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety Program grant funds; and WHEREAS, a Grant Funding Agreement must be completed to allow the California Office of Traffic Safety to disburse the grant funds; and WHEREAS, a Grant Funding Agreement between the City of San Leandro and California Office of Traffic Safety, a copy of which is attached, was presented to this City Council; and WHEREAS, the City is familiar with the contents thereof; and WHEREAS, the City Manager recommended the approval of said agreement. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows: That the City Council accepts and appropriate $83,000 in OTS Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety Program grant funds; and That said grant agreement is approved and the City Manager or her authorized designee is authorized and directed to execute the same on behalf of the City; and That the City Manager is authorized to execute all documents and take and all actions necessary to effect the purpose and intent of this Resolution.
