RESOLUTION THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2024-128 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO REPEAL AND REENACT CHAPTER 4.2 OF THE ADMINISTRATIVE CODE <br /> TO UPDATE THE CITY’S CONFLICT OF INTEREST CODE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Political Reform Act of 1974 (California Government Code §81000 et seq.) <br />requires every government agency to adopt a conflict of interest code that designates public officials <br />required to file Statements of Economic Interests (Form 700) to help identify potential conflicts of <br />interest; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, State law requires that the conflict of interest code be reviewed biennially; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, as the designated Filing Officer for forms filed under the conflict of interest code, the <br />City Clerk has reviewed the code to ensure it complies with State requirements and accurately reflects <br />the City’s operational changes since the last update; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, amendments have been identified to reflect the City’s current organizational <br />structure of departments, boards and commissions, designated positions, and level of required <br />disclosure, along with edits for clarity; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is the code reviewing body for the City and has determined that the <br />attached conflict of interest code accurately sets forth the City’s current structure, designated positions, <br />and level of required disclosure. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE that Title 4, <br />Chapter 2 of the City of San Leandro Administrative Code relating to the City’s conflict of interest code is <br />hereby repealed in its entirety, and immediately reenacted, as provided in the copy which is attached <br />hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein by this reference. <br /> <br />Introduced by Councilmember Aguilar and passed and adopted this 21st day of October 2024 by the <br />following vote: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers Aguilar, Ballew, Bowen, Simon, Viveros-Walton and Mayor González (6) <br /> <br />NOES: None (0) <br /> <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Azevedo (1) <br /> <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> Kelly B.
