Create standardized communications to respond to community concerns regarding <br />maintenance of City street trees to improve service delivery. <br />iii. Create outreach tools regarding care and ongoing maintenance of trees by <br />property owners to improve health longevity of urban trees. <br />iv. Support community capacity building around climate resilience by facilitating <br />community workshops regarding the Tree Master Plan and Climate Action Plan <br />goals. <br />c. Develop Community-Based Partnership Plan for ongoing tree care <br />i. Identify and engage community partners interested in active participation in <br />growing and maintaining the City’s urban forest in conjunction with the City’s <br />climate goals and efforts. <br />ii. Conduct tree planting events with volunteers and community-based organizations <br />with the goal of increasing tree canopy as identified in the adopted Tree Master <br />Plan. <br />iii. Identify opportunities to facilitate or encourage tree planting on private property <br />through free tree events, tree maintenance workshops, mulch/compost giveaways, <br />etc. <br />d. Assist with Tree Master Plan policy Development <br />i. Research tree preservation ordinances adopted by other California cities to <br />identify best practices for preserving existing canopy. <br />ii.
