IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO RESOLUTION NO. 2024-147 RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO DECLARE FOURTEEN (14) VEHICLES ALONG WITH OTHER MISCELLANEOUS PIECES OF EQUIPMENT AND ITEMS AS SURPLUS AND AUTHORIZE THE SALE OF SAID SURPLUS ASSETS AT PUBLIC AUCTION WHEREAS, section 1-6-500 of the San Leandro Municipal Code authorizes the City’s Purchasing Agent to sell equipment which has become unsuitable or unnecessary for the City’s purposes; and WHEREAS, a list of fourteen (14) vehicles, other miscellaneous pieces of equipment and items that are identified as no longer useful to City operations have been presented to this Council; and WHEREAS, proceeds from the sale of the vehicles and equipment will be returned to the Equipment Maintenance Fund. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows: That the vehicles and equipment presented to Council are declared surplus; and That following public notice as may be required by law and in accordance with Section 1-6-500 of the San Leandro Municipal Code, the sale of fourteen (14) vehicles along with other miscellaneous pieces of equipment and items at public auction by U.S. Auctions is approved and should be scheduled for a date to be determined within 3 months of this action; and That the City Manager is authorized to take all actions and execute all documents necessary to effect the purpose and intent of this Resolution.
