IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO RESOLUTION NO. 2024-159 RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A $30,000 SURRENDERED AND ABANDONED VESSEL EXCHANGE (SAVE-24) GRANT AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO AND THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION, DIVISION OF BOATING AND WATERWAYS FOR ABATEMENT OF SURRENDERED AND ABANDONED WATERCRAFT AT THE SAN LEANDRO MARINA AND SAN LEANDRO SHORELINE WHEREAS, the Surrendered and Abandoned Vessel Exchange (SAVE-24) grant program is designed to remove, reduce, and prevent the abandonment of recreational vessels before it happens; and WHEREAS, an agreement between the City of San Leandro and the State of California, Department of Parks and Recreation, Division of Boating and Waterways was presented to this City Council; and WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof; and WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said agreement. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows: 1. The SAVE-24 grant agreement is hereby approved and execution by the City Manager or her designee, the Public Works Director, of this agreement and all other agreements and contracts necessary to affect this resolution are hereby authorized. 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to appropriate $33,000 from the Shoreline Fund Undesignated Fund balance into account 597-57-177 for the grant and matching funds.
