IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2024-170 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A <br />CONSULTING SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH HALEY & ALDRICH, INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF <br />$161,810 FOR DESIGN SERVICES IN SUPPORT OF THE LAKE CHABOT ROAD STORM <br />EROSION REPAIRS, PROJECT NO. 2023.4020; TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO <br />NEGOTIATE AND APPROVE INDIVIDUAL CONTRACT AMENDMENTS UP TO 10% (OR <br />$16,181) OF THE ORIGINAL CONTRACT AMOUNT; AND TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY <br />MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND APPROVE CONTRACT AMENDMENTS UP TO A <br />CUMULATIVE VALUE OF 20% (OR $32,362) OF THE ORIGINAL CONTRACT AMOUNT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, staff issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) seeking consulting firms to perform <br />design services for the Lake Chabot Road Storm Erosion Repairs project; and <br />WHEREAS, after reviewing the sole RFP response received, staff recommends that Haley <br />& Aldrich Inc. should be retained to perform the work of the Design Services for the Lake Chabot <br />Road Storm Erosion Repairs project in an amount not to exceed $161,810; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Haley & Aldrich, Inc. has agreed to the terms of the agreement pending <br />Council approval; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the scope of work; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said agreement. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br />follows: <br />That said agreement is hereby approved and execution by the City Manager is hereby <br />authorized; and <br />That the City Manager or her designee is authorized to enter into a consultant services <br />agreement with Haley & Aldrich, Inc. in the amount of $161,810; and <br />That the City Manager or her designee is authorized to negotiate and approve individual <br />contract amendments up to 10% of the original contract amount, or $16,181; and <br />That the City Manager or her designee is authorized to negotiate and approve cumulative <br />contract amendments up to a maximum of 20% of the original contract amount, or $32,362. <br />
