IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO RESOLUTION NO. 2024-170 RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONSULTING SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH HALEY & ALDRICH, INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF $161,810 FOR DESIGN SERVICES IN SUPPORT OF THE LAKE CHABOT ROAD STORM EROSION REPAIRS, PROJECT NO. 2023.4020; TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND APPROVE INDIVIDUAL CONTRACT AMENDMENTS UP TO 10% (OR $16,181) OF THE ORIGINAL CONTRACT AMOUNT; AND TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND APPROVE CONTRACT AMENDMENTS UP TO A CUMULATIVE VALUE OF 20% (OR $32,362) OF THE ORIGINAL CONTRACT AMOUNT WHEREAS, staff issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) seeking consulting firms to perform design services for the Lake Chabot Road Storm Erosion Repairs project; and WHEREAS, after reviewing the sole RFP response received, staff recommends that Haley & Aldrich Inc. should be retained to perform the work of the Design Services for the Lake Chabot Road Storm Erosion Repairs project in an amount not to exceed $161,810; and WHEREAS, Haley & Aldrich, Inc. has agreed to the terms of the agreement pending Council approval; and WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the scope of work; and WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said agreement. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows: That said agreement is hereby approved and execution by the City Manager is hereby authorized; and That the City Manager or her designee is authorized to enter into a consultant services agreement with Haley & Aldrich, Inc. in the amount of $161,810; and That the City Manager or her designee is authorized to negotiate and approve individual contract amendments up to 10% of the original contract amount, or $16,181; and That the City Manager or her designee is authorized to negotiate and approve cumulative contract amendments up to a maximum of 20% of the original contract amount, or $32,362.
