IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2025-023 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A NON- <br />PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH ACCO ENGINEERED SYSTEMS FOR GOLF IRRIGATION <br />STATION REPAIR PHASE 2 FOR $167,552.65 AND TO NEGOTIATE AND APPROVE CUMULATIVE <br />CHANGE ORDERS UP TO 15% OR $25,132.90 OF THE ORIGINAL CONTRACT AMOUNT, FOR A TOTAL <br />NOT-TO-EXCEED AMOUNT OF $192,685.55 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Golf Irrigation Station supplies recycled water from the City’s Water Pollution <br />Control Plant to the Monarch Bay Golf Course; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the supply of this recycled water saves potable water resources, reduces irrigation <br />costs for the Golf Course, and lowers nutrients entering the Bay; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in August 2023, the pump casing structure developed a leak and the station was <br />taken out of service; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in summer 2024, the City contracted with ACCO Engineered Systems to remove the <br />structure and install temporary piping to restore the station to service; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this second phase of the project will install a new casing structure to return the <br />station to normal operations. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows: <br /> <br />That said agreement is hereby approved and execution by the City Manager is hereby authorized; and <br /> <br />That the City Manager or her designee is authorized to negotiate and approve cumulative change <br />orders up to a maximum of 15% of the original contract amount. <br /> <br />Introduced by Councilmember Aguilar and passed and adopted this 17th day of March 2025 by the <br />following vote: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmember Aguilar, Azevedo, Boldt, Bowen, Simon, Viveros-Walton, Mayor González (7) <br /> <br />NOES: None (0) <br /> <br />ABSENT: None (0) <br /> <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> Kelly B.
